Data deletion
Effective: September 24, 2026 · This page spells out the Data deletion section of our Privacy Policy.
How to ask
Email privacy@lifeinasong.com with the subject “Delete my data”. For a song order, write from the address you used at checkout. For comments or messages on Facebook or Instagram, tell us your Facebook name or Instagram username and the post or ad you commented on, so we can find your records. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
What we delete
For an order: the story details you submitted, the songs we generated, the visitor ID record we keep to tell which ad brought you, and that visitor ID and your browser type on our analytics events. For Facebook and Instagram: the comments and messages we received from you, the text of the replies we sent you, and your Facebook or Instagram ID and name in our records; any unused discount code is cancelled.
What stays
Deleting your Facebook and Instagram data does not delete a song order; if you also want an order deleted, say so in the same email. A discount code that paid for an order stays linked to that order, without your Facebook or Instagram ID, name or messages. Your comment itself stays on Facebook or Instagram until you delete it there; Meta handles its own copy under its own privacy policy. We keep technical records that no longer contain your ID, name or any text, such as Meta’s reference number for each comment and message, so the same one is never processed twice.
